What was the problem?

  • The client, transitioning from a local startup to a nationwide solar subscription service, needed to establish operational systems.

  • They previously managed customer service manually, maintaining written records and providing personalized experiences.

What were the expectations?

  • They aimed to extend this experience nationwide in the USA by shifting from manual records to a web-based portal.

  • Customer executives could assist, upsell, and manage data efficiently, following Salesforce guidelines in design.

What did I do?

  • Researched solar energy and market share, conducted discovery with a sales executive persona. Considered multi-location subscriptions.

  • Created widgets for energy stats, errors, weather impact, service, subscriptions, and customer records to aid customer support.

  • Implemented a smart suggestion widget for upselling based on property and solar data.

  • Enabled tracking, recording, and reporting of recurring problems in specific areas.
